Community Helping Schools (CHS) is an organization dedicated to improving the quality of education in Hawaii’s public schools. Its two-fold goal is to both assist schools in acquiring their material and service needs while, at the same time, involving the local community in this effort—thereby creating a bond between the two.

“The reward is the children...and the joy of seeing the feeling of satisfaction from community members when they give something to help the schools, and the reaction of the students and teachers when they know someone cares.”

If you or your business has supplies or equipment in good, working condition to donate, please Browse Our Wish List to see if a school is curently looking for those items. If the items are not listed in the Wish List, you can Offer an Item for donation.

CHS is a non-profit 501 (c) (3) corporation, that does accept monetary donations. If you would like to contribute, you can specify a school that you would like to help, support the CHS organization directly, or Sponsor an Ad. Ads consist of requests for Wish List items, and are placed weekly in Midweek.
